Fantasy Football 101

The WISE NYC Metro Chapter is excited to invite all WISE members throughout the US and Canada to join us (virtually) for a special event produced in partnership with FanDuel, a leading sports and entertainment company based in New York.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn about the world of fantasy sports, now is your chance! On September 15 at 3 PM we will host a virtual Fantasy Football 101 session where FanDuel educate us on the the basics of fantasy sports, share expert advice, and tips and tricks on how to create a winning lineup.

BYOB + Yoga

We’ve teamed up with a local small business – Beer Fit Club – to provide a fun and accessible fitness experience while promoting local businesses. If you love beer and you love fitness and you love connecting with new people who share the similar interests as you – then you’ll love this event!

Wellness Wednesday Workout

Power Play 2020

PROGRAMMING UPDATE – The Impact of Covid-19

March 16 - July 28

We know the outbreak of COVID-19 is affecting everyone in our WISE community, regardless of what area of our industry you reside. The impact is causing all of us to examine our daily lives and movements and as an organization, WISE is doing the same.

The NYC Metro Chapter has several events planned over the next few months and would like nothing better than to be with all of you and come together as a community, but our primary concern is and will always be the safety of our members and colleagues.

Therefore, we will postpone all planned in-person activities for the time being to ensure we are following the CDC recommendation to practice social distancing and avoid large gatherings for everyone’s safety. We plan to distribute members-only programming and public programs virtually in the days ahead.

We will continue to monitor this unprecedented – and rapidly changing – moment in time and provide updates accordingly.

February 2020 Member Meet-Up

Enjoy light bites and a cocktail with some fantastic chapter members! This is a causal event geared towards allowing members to get to know each other in a fun setting, so bring a guest (one per member) and introduce him/her to the power of WISE!

Speed Mentoring Roundtables

January 23, 2020

Speed Mentoring Roundtables returns to the WISE NYC Metro program line-up in January as part of our recognition of National Mentoring Month. This interactive event brings you up close and personal with sports business professionals and industry veterans to discuss your career questions.

This is a facilitated session with a diverse group of NYC Metro area sports business professionals (men and women) representing a range of organizations and job functions serving as guest mentors for the evening.

**This event is open to the public, men and women. No on-site registration will be available for this event.**

Each January (National Mentoring Month), WISE Chapters across the country hold a ‘Speed Mentoring Roundtable’ event to launch the WISE Within Mentoring Program application period.

The NYC Metro Chapter’s Speed Mentoring Roundtable event is open to everyone, members and non-members both male and female. However, participation in the actual WISE Within Mentoring Program is exclusively for members, and is by application only. The mentoring program cycle is from April through September and includes three in-person meeting sessions that are led by a facilitator on a professional development topic of interest to the participants.
