Women of Inspiration

Each December, the WISE NYC Metro Chapter presents its Women of Inspiration Award to three exceptional women who have distinguished themselves in the sports and events industry through professional excellence and by serving as role models to others. 

Honorees are selected by the WISE NYC Metro Chapter Board of Directors based on nominations submitted by NYC Metro chapter members and the criteria outlined below.

10th Anniversary Women of Inspiration Awards in New York City

Nominations for the 2025 award will be accepted from July 23 through August 23.

Eligibility and evaluation requirements. 

  • Must reside within the WISE NYC Metro Chapter service area (New York City, including all boroughs, New Jersey, or Connecticut).
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of total professional experience.
  • Must have spent the past 5 consecutive years working in the sports or events industry.
  • Must have held a leadership role in the industry for at least 7 years.

Support for Women’s Professional Development Demonstrates a consistent commitment to mentoring, sponsoring, and/or serving as a role model for other women in the industry.

Empowerment and Advocacy Actively advances women in the workplace and is a visible, credible leader in helping others grow their careers.

Leadership and Influence Has a strong track record of removing barriers, creating access and opportunity, and building intentional talent pipelines for women in sports and events.

Professionalism and Integrity Recognized for consistent professionalism, strong ethical standards, and respect for colleagues across the industry.
