WISE NYC METRO CHAPTER APPOINTS FOUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS

NEW YORK, NY – October 13, 12014 – The NYC Metro Chapter of WISE (Women in Sports and Events) recently appointed four leading sports industry executives to its Board of Directors: Danielle Zulauf, vice president of marketing for the Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils; Nicole Smart, legal coordinator at the National Football League; Tamika Clanton, vice president of promotions and partnerships for productions marketing at Madison Square Garden; and Kristine Tripoli Krische, a marketing and event management consultant who was most recently vice president, events & hospitality for the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee.

In addition, Nachamah Jacobovits, communications chair, was appointed chapter vice president.

Van Adams, WISE NYC Metro Chapter president, said. “Not only are these women leaders in the business of sports in the New York area, but they have each made impressive contributions to WISE as active members of our chapter. We are looking forward to the enhancements and growth they will bring to our efforts within their individual areas of expertise.”

Zulauf, who previously held positions with CBS Sports Network, the Atlantic 10 Conference, and the New York Mets, will chair the chapter membership, New Jersey Outreach committee. She is also involved with Special Olympics and the Event and Arena Marketing Conference.

Smart who will chair Membership, Development, previously held legal and administrative roles at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and in the Global Human Resources department at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. She is the VP of Development for U Want Game which helps improve life skills of high school student athletes, a member of the NYU class of 2009 Reunion Committee, and a committee leader for the NYU Alumni Women’s Initiative. She also served as vice president of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Black Sports Professionals.

Clanton, who was also director of marketing for the Washington Wizards and Mystics and event marketing promotions manager at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, will chair partnerships.

Tripoli Krische will chair Membership. Before leading the team that successfully produced more than 30 events and programs leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, she served as vice president, public programs and marketing for the Municipal Art Society of New York and was a private consultant with clients and projects that included NYC Culture Fest for NYC & Company; New Year’s Eve in Times Square and Taste of Times Square for the Times Square Alliance; American Museum of Natural History; New York Botanical Garden; New York Public Library; Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square for the Lincoln Square BID; Taste of the Village for the Village Alliance; and NYC2004’s Salute to Broadway.

Jacobovits, president of Nachamah Jacobovits, Inc., a strategic communications and marketing consulting firm, has been a chapter board member since 2010. She previously headed communications for Newedge Americas, Fimat Americas, and the New York Mercantile Exchange and has overseen sports sponsorships that have ranged from a five-year title sponsorship of the annual interleague series between the Mets and Yankees – the first corporate sponsorship of a regular season series in MLB history to the introduction of a live ticker feed of energy prices at Minute Maid Field to a Mount Everest climb to celebrity charity events and hospitality at the Super Bowl, World Series and All Star events.
