We celebrated Women's History Month with our signature program -- Power Play featuring an all-star line-up of executive-level women sports business leaders from New York Road Runners, the world’s premier community running organization.
The event was hosted at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub that is home to an inclusive running community. Attendees got the chance to network over coffee and breakfast before listening to an insightful panel discussion about the unique experiences of being an executive leader in the sports world.
The panel was moderated by Broadcast Journalist Dara Aaron K. and featured Christine Burke, SVP of Strategic Partnerships and Runner Products; Jeanmarie (Flaherty) Cooney, SVP of Finance, Strategy and Operations; Erica Edwards-O'Neal, Esq., SVP of Culture, Diversity, Equity and Social Responsibility; Crystal Howard, SVP of Public Affairs, Media and PR; and Samira Shah, SVP of Legal, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary.
All vendors for the event were woman-owned businesses.
Breakfast: Marisa Seifan, CEO and Co-founder of Honeybrains, first hospitality restaurant brand dedicated to better brain health. Honeybrains mindful selection and combination of ingredients – based on the best available science –are crafted into healthy and flavorful recipes.
Gifts: Jenna Pantin Bermudez, founder of Chaconia Candles, a Black-owned business that uses nontoxic, cruelty-free, and vegan ingredients. Chaconia Candles is a beacon of mental wellness, intertwining the vibrancy of Caribbean culture and scents with sustainable practices.
